Regrouping

I can't seem to get back to blogging, these days. I wish I could, but I find myself reading more and on the computer less. I know it's not a problem, but when I look back and see nothing written, I'm gonna kick myself.

Yesterday we started our official Christmas countdown. Since Hubs works on Christmas day, again, we're doing our Christmas day on the eve instead. So the kids were excited to do the Lego Advent calendar. We've never done one before. Very cool.

We put our tree up on Thanksgiving. Look at that small room and the BIG mess.

This is how Casey spent her morning, while we did that. :)

This is our official "take a picture in front of the tree after it's put up" picture. Of course Casey needed to be in it.

And this is what she did while Hubs cooked the meal. She was on smell overload. She didn't know what to make of it.

Casey likes the tree a little too much. If you don't catch her, she snags ornaments off and plays with them. *sigh*

Casey also sleeps under it. She about knocks half the ornaments off when she rolls over.

Sassy went to get her appliance put in her mouth, Monday. I personally don't think we need her to have a bigger mouth, but her teeth don't agree with me. She was a trooper at the appointment. They put it in and took it out five times. They even cemented it and took it out. It wasn't fitting right. So she has to do this again in two weeks. :( At least she got the bottom one to get used to and it comes out when she eats. So one more week of Skittles. :)

Shooter is so excited for Christmas he can barely sleep. He is up almost the same time as the dog. He's not even excited about the gifts, it's the thought of the day that gets him excited. I know he wants presents, but he's so happy over the whole idea of it. :) Ha even made the countdown chain for the tree.

Casey has turned into a goofy dog. I guess she was destined to, living in this house. She likes to jump up and look out the kitchen window and bark at anything out there. But if I forget to push in my chair, she just stands there staring at me like "Ummm...move this chair, Lady." And of course I do. We bought her a bed, but she chews on it the second we put it on the floor. And yet she'll go and lay on our nice clean blankets. Well, they were clean til the dingy laid on them. Now they all have fur on them and smell like dog.

Casey also will come running, and I mean RUNNING, to the kitchen, when she hears me making my chocolate oatmeal each day. She could be in a deep sleep, but jumps up the second she hears the oats hit the bowl. But I can't really blame her. :) You should've seen her FREAK out when I was making no bake cookies.

I'm hoping to make a bunch of frozen meals, on Monday, when the pooch goes to get snippy snippy. This way I don't have to worry about her jumping up to see what I'm doing, nor do I have to strategically place chairs around the table while I cool them off. I need to take advantage of the doglessness. Yes, I made that up.

I made the mistake of not cutting my coupons since July. So I spent over 4 hours doing just that, on Sunday. Luckily I had my Fire to watch movies on. It didn't take up a ton of room, like the computer would. I love this thing!!

Love the pictures. Love the excitement for Christmas. Love the dog. I'm in the same blogging boat, in case you haven't noticed. Like you, I'm sure I'll regret not writing. On the other hand, I feel like I don't have a whole lot to say.

I've gotten way behind on my blogging too. Living life and not recording it - the HORROR!
Cute pics. Love the crate one!

Jen, it's a lab thing. Ours is 12 in just a few weeks and I have many pictures of her sleeping each year under the tree. No matter how much I yelled at her about it, she just kept going there. I haven't put the skirt under the tree yet so no pics from 2011 so far :)
