Weely review

We've been taking it easy these past three weeks. We're only doing the basics. I'm not really feeling the Rome to Reformation unit. I keep forgetting to grab library books for extra reading. I'm not liking the Caesar book, so I really have no idea what to do now. Our history is all choppy and all over the place. No one is learning anything this year. Atleast they are doing their workbooks, right?

Shooter is trudging through his multiplication facts still. He hates them, but he is getting better. I think after Christmas he'll be ready to move up to double digits. Very far behind the regular school kids, but he's not a regular school kid. :)

Sassy is flying through her work. She is starting to find her groove. She's been trying to read more lately, even if it's the Wimpy kid books. :) Atleast she's reading. She even picked out a few DTB(dead tree book) at the library used book sale, last night. I love that she wants to read, even if it's to earn a dollar. As long as she is reading, I don't mind going broke. :)

I am keeping my eyes open for Kindle books for them. I wish I could give them their Kindles now. I am constantly downloading books for them. I have to wait 15 more days. I can't wait!! They are gonna be so excited!!

Casey is bouncing off the walls now. She is sick and tired to sitting around all day. She wants to play and jump, but we're trying to keep her calm. Ever try and keep a 5 month old pup calm?? No? Try it sometime. Not only do I wanna take some happy pills, but I wanna give her a few. :) Seriously!!

How was your week?

As long as you're being diligent, remember that there is no such thing as "behind." Seriously. The skill level of kids in public school is all over the map at any "grade level," regardless of what the educrats say. So just keep plugging away with the multiplication tables (and everything else) and your kids will be just fine. You also have a lot of time before they'll leave the nest. :^)
